About

We aim for the middle, on purpose.

Most software is sold on the promise that it will change everything. Ours is sold on the promise that it will change one thing, slightly, and then continue to do so without incident.

The position

MidApps builds business software that is good enough to pass an audit and not much more than that. We consider this a finished thought rather than an admission.

The industry has spent two decades inflating its own adjectives. Every tool is now revolutionary, every release is a leap forward, and every roadmap promises a category that did not exist last quarter. The software underneath has not improved at the same rate as the language describing it.

We have opted out of that. Our products do a specific job at a defensible standard. They are documented, they are supported, and they behave the same way in month eighteen as they did in week one. When a customer asks what a feature does, the answer is a sentence, not a call.

This is a real company with real products. The tone is dry. The uptime is not.

Commitments

Things we will not say to you.

Never "revolutionary"
It is a tool. You will use it on a Tuesday and forget you did.
Never "10x"
If a product genuinely made you ten times faster, the pricing page would look very different.
Never "AI-powered", decoratively
If a model is doing work, we will name it and say what it does. If not, the word will not appear.
Never a roadmap as a feature list
Shipped features are listed. Planned features are labelled as planned.
Never "we are like a family"
It is a vendor relationship. Both of us prefer it that way.
